The project stems from a very incisive pre-existence, a narrow and long space, from which ends open to the outside, albeit in a timid way.

Our goal is transforming this long corridor into a home for tourism.

The conformation of the pre-existence is typical of the townhouses of Mediterranean countries which is completed in the presence of a patio, which brings great wealth to the house.

The project wants to maintain the characteristics of its spatial conformation that finds its essence in the explanation of the meaning of the word GALLERY:

an almost underground forced passage among the artistic works;

a passage no longer shy, from the public dimension of the city to the private one of the patio;

a promenade we want to free to bring it back to its original condition.

The compactness of the services is the real gesture of this project, which wants to free the space from everyday functions.

Those who will use this space will stay in this house for a short time in a fleeting and rapid way, so we would like to offer not just a house, but an experience.

A gallery where living blends with art, an experience that frees itself from noise, frenzy, the accumulation of objects and distractions to rediscover the spatial freedom that inevitably leads to intellectual freedom.
