The request was to build a house with technical characteristics that would qualified the house in the A4 energy class: low environmental impact; high comfort guaranteed and minimized energy waste.

Therefore the house will be built with ISOTEX system, made of recycled untreated fir wood and 99% pure Portland cement. The choice of this construction system, made of very thick blocks, has determined the design theme of the house:

In the elegance of its bas-reliefs;

In the depth of its engravings;

And in the light and shadow contrast of the thickness of the walls and the cantilevered slabs.

The volume of the house is shaped by the strength of its clear geometric gestures, which guide the view towards the landscape, the earth and the sky.

The choice of the white limestone of the site, with its gray veins, amplifies the bas-reliefs with new shades of white.

The exterior of the house vibrates with the contrasts, generated by slightly misaligned walls.

These subtle engravings and misalignments try to balance the long lines of the two overlaid volumes, laid down lengthwise on the site, taking inspiration of the typical “Pianura Padana” flats landscape.

The two volumes create covered outdoor spaces, which host:

the entrance;

outdoor dining spaces;

a refuge from the rain and the strong sun,

providing protection all around the living area.

generous in width and height, with oversized furniture, most common in bars and hotels.

Aiming to create the simplest of the spaces, led us to compact various objects into just a few oversized elements.

The openness of the large windows create a true sense of free space, in connection with the natural landscape in which, at the end of the day, we can appreciate all the beauty of its sunset.

Villa in Pianura nasce de necessidades construtivas e estruturais muito especificas, tornando o projeto num verdadeiro desafio compositivo e espacial.

Era necessário construir uma habitação com características técnicas que garantisse a classificação da mesma na classe energética A4 (Itália APE): baixo impacto ambiental, elevado conforto térmico e perdas energéticas mínimas. Para além disso, a habitação será construída numa zona de risco sísmico elevado.

Nesse sentido, foi escolhido um sistema construtivo em alvenaria de blocos de madeira-betão (madeira 100% reciclada não tratada), termo isolantes e que servem eles próprios como cofragem a uma parede estrutural continua, conferindo-lhe, assim, todas as características anti-sísmicas necessárias.

A escolha deste sistema construtivo, constituído por blocos muito largos, definiu parte do desenho da habitação: na elegância dos seus baixos-relevos, na profundidade das paredes escavadas e no contraste de luz e sombra destas mesmas espessuras, assim como, do volume em balanço.

O volume da habitação caracteriza-se pela força dos seus claros gestos geométricos, que guiam o olhar para a paisagem, para a terra e para o céu.

A escolha da utilização do mármore local, com os seus veios acinzentados, amplifica os baixos-relevos com novas nuances de branco.

O exterior da habitação vibra através de contrastes, gerados por pequenos deslindamentos das paredes.

Estas pequenas incisões e deslindamentos atuam como contraposição às longas linhas dos dois volumes sobrepostos, colocados longitudinalmente no terreno, inspirando-se na típica paisagem plana da Pianura Padana.

A sobreposição dos dois volumes criam espaços exteriores cobertos, acolhendo:entrada, espaço de refeições e de estar, abrigo da chuva e do forte sol e proteção entorno a toda a zona comum da habitação.
